Firm History

The roots of McKenna Financial are deep and strong. The firm traces its origins back to 1949, when John McKenna Sr. quit his job working for Northern Pacific Railroad to become a New York Life agent. John McKenna Jr. joined the organization in June of 1974 and was followed by his daughter, Meghann, in 2004. 

Through the years, the firm expanded its market and knowledge by acquiring the practices of 55-year veteran New York Life agent Bill Wall of Helena, 30-year veteran New York Life agent Nyle Douglas of Livingston, and most recently, 23-year veteran New York Life agent Dave Jarrett of Bozeman.

McKenna Financial provides business, estate, philanthropic planning and succession services to business owners and professionals.  We help our clients determine their obejectives, then work with them and their advsiors to take action to complete their plans.  We are the catalyst in the planning process.
